NRAO VLA D-array Sky Survey (NVSS)

The National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) observed the sky north of declination -40° using the Very Large Array (VLA) (D-array) at the 1.4 GHz frequency. We present the total intensity survey, covering 82% of the sky, at an angular resolution of 45“. Units of the map are Jy/beam.

Healpix map made by D. Paradis. The map is in NSIDE=8192 (slighty over-sampled).
