QUaD Experiment

QUaD is a bolometer-based polarimeter optimized for CMB polarization measurements. QUaD is a 2.6 m Cassegrain radio telescope on the mount originally constructed for the DASI experiment. Two portions of the Galactic plane have been observed in the Galactic longitudes range 240° < l < 295° and 315° < l < 5°, for latitudes -4<b<+4°, corresponding to 800 square degree, at 100 and 150 GHz.

The angular resolution of the surveys is 5′ and 3.5′ at 100 and 150 GHz, respectively, in Stokes I, Q and U parameters. Units of the HEALPix maps are MJy/sr.
