AKARI
The AKARI satellite was launched in February 2006 and the all-sky survey was performed during the period April 2006 — August 2007. Its telescope
mirror had a diameter of 685 mm and was capable of observing across the 2-180
microns near to far-infrared spectral regions.
The sky coverage of the Far-Infrared Surveyor was 99%, with
97% of the sky covered with multiple scans. The observed
wavelength coverage spans 50-180 microns continuously with four photometric bands, centered at 65, 90, 140 and 160 microns, at a resolution of 1' to 2'.
