This 45 MHz continuum map is the result of the combination of data obtained with the 45-MHz array of the University of Chile at the Maipu Radio Astronomy Observatory and the circular filled array of the Japanese Middle and Upper (MU) atmosphere Radar.
The Maipu data cover the southern hemisphere (declination below +19.1°), with a beam of 4.6°(α
) x 2.4° (δ
), whereas the MU data cover the northern hemisphere (+5°<δ
<+65°), with an angular resolution of 3.6°.
